I took a pretty unconventional road to arrive where I am. I grew up on a farm in Upstate New York, before leaving for Hamilton College. I then spent five years teaching outdoor education across the country, leading backpacking, kayaking, and mountaineering classes with high schoolers. I finally settled in Portland in 2009, earning a MAT from Lewis & Clark College, and went on to teach middle school social studies for five years.

I made the transition to helping adults with their financial planning because I wanted to help people feel empowered about their futures. I understand that money is not the end-all be-all, but I also know that when people feel good about their futures they are free to be their best selves.

My goal is for my clients to look back and say that working with our team was the best financial decision they ever made.
